The Four Things Every Title Pawn Needs
Have these ready and your visit goes fast.
Your vehicle
Bring the vehicle you’re pawning. We appraise it on-site in a few minutes — condition, mileage, and market value set your number. It drives home with you either way.
The vehicle’s title, lien-free and in your name
The title must be in your name and free of liens — no unpaid loans against the vehicle. This is the collateral for the pawn, so it’s the one requirement with no workaround. (Title problems? See “Common Title Situations” below — several have a fix.)
Valid government-issued photo ID
Driver’s license, state ID, or passport. You must be 18 or older — Georgia law doesn’t allow pawn transactions with minors.
Proof of Georgia residency
A recent utility bill, lease, or piece of official mail with your name and Georgia address.

“I’ve Lost my Title”
You can order a replacement Georgia title through the Georgia Department of Revenue (online, by mail, or at your county tag office) for a small fee. Once the replacement is in hand, you’re ready to pawn. Replacement titles are usually processed the same day at a tag office.
“There’s still a lien on my title”
The lien has to be released before we can accept the title. If you’ve paid off the loan, the lienholder issues a lien release — bring the released title and you’re set. If you still owe on the vehicle, we can’t pawn it yet.
“The title isn’t in my name”
Georgia titles must be transferred into your name at your county tag office before we can write a pawn. A title in a spouse’s or family member’s name doesn’t qualify — even with permission.
“My title is from another state”
You’ll need to transfer it to a Georgia title first, which you can do at your county tag office once you’re a Georgia resident. Our stores cannot accept out-of-state titles under any circumstances.tel:+17066132274
